Vanilla to the front door! No collars, leashes, or nudity for our neighbors to see. Please wear a coat to cover fetish wear. You may change inside.
1: Venue Rules
No phones, earbuds, bluetooth speakers, cameras or any recording devices past the lobby door.
If you need to check your phone, step outside or use the lobby.
If you have a medical condition that is tracked with your phone, please let a DM know so we may know how to respond in a medical emergency.
If you want to take a picture of a scene, flag a DM first so they can supervise.
No alcohol, drugs, smoking, or vaping indoors. If you appear intoxicated, you will be asked to leave
No Firearms or firearm-shaped toys are allowed.
Play of any kind is not allowed in the lobby, bathrooms, dressing room, or supply closet. There are cushions on the stage under the mural in the dungeon. That is a designated aftercare space. Please do not play there unless party rules dictate otherwise.
The curved wall in the front area is hollow. Don’t step on it or use it as you would damage the floor.
Don’t congregate or play in the doorways or exits. (Point out the emergency exit at the back of the dungeon.)
There is a water cooler and cups (point it out). Snacks may be provided, but feel free to BYO. If you get food delivered, you must meet them outside. We ask that you do not have food delivered.
2. Dungeon Monitors
Dungeon Monitors (aka DM's) can be identified by colorful lanyards with safety scissors and flashlights. We're like your kinky lifeguards who want to make sure everyone is having a good and safe time.
If you have questions or see something concerning, ask a DM.
DMs are the only ones with the authority to interrupt or check in on a scene.
Do not attempt to move furniture yourself, a DM will do it for you.
Do not engage in someone else's scene that you are not part of. This includes commentary about the scene that may be overheard by the players.
NEW RULE: reach out to a DM before you begin a scene, any scene, so we know what to expect and expectations are set accordingly.
The house Safe Words are “Red” and “Safe Word”. If a DM hears either of these words, we will engage with your scene to check in. House safe words are full stops to play.
You can use your own safewords in your scenes but only house safe words will invite a DM’s attention. Don’t be afraid to use these words as these help us to know when a scene needs to come to an end.
If you have a non-verbal safe word or signal, let DMs know so they are aware of what to expect.
3. Consent is key:
Do NOT touch people or toys without explicit consent, be it a handshake, a hug, or play
If someone declines to play or interact with you, respect their ”no”.
If you fail to respect someone's consent or request to be left alone, you will be asked to leave and may be banned.
Do not masturbate to a scene you are not a part of. If you do, you may be asked to leave.
If someone does not respect your “No” or breaches your consent, please reach out to a DM so we may take action.
Do not assume anyone’s pronouns, ask. Respect the pronouns you’re given.
If you negotiate a scene with someone new, make sure to set clear, explicit limits and boundaries. Include aftercare plans in your negotiations! Also share any medical or mental health conditions or allergic reactions BEFORE you begin any scene.
4. Active Awareness:
Pay attention when moving around the dungeon; don’t get caught in a backswing
Give scenes at least 6 feet of distance when watching. Don’t hover or invite yourself into someone’s scene without an explicit invitation.
Be mindful moving around other people's place spaces as rope, toys, or bags may be on the periphery.
Keep your supplies and personal effects within your play space so you don’t inconvenience others or create trip hazards.
Before you begin a scene, you must check in with a DM so we can do things like
Help you with power outlets
Create a space for a whip lane
Do a skills check for a rope suspension
Educate you on our edge play policies for fire, wax, electro play etc
No hoods of any sort, including pillowcases. Active breathplay only is allowed.
Sex is play! It’s allowed at Subspace. If people start having sex on a couch, please give them the space.
5. Dungeon Etiquette:
The back room/dungeon is where most of the scenes happen. Keep conversation volumes to a minimum and conversation topics appropriate in this space.
The front room and lobby are designated for aftercare and socializing.
Playspace and furniture is on a first come, first serve basis. If there’s an area of equipment you would like to use, inform a DM
Play and aftercare takes precedence. A DM might ask you to relocate your social interactions to provide a space for a scene or aftercare. We ask that if a scene or aftercare begins on a couch or seating surface that you are socializing on, that you move to a different location.
If you have questions about a kink or a scene, wait until aftercare is completed before approaching people with kind intentions.
If you see something that bothers or worries you, walk away and talk to a DM.
Do not monopolize a particular play area or furnishing. Plan your scene accordingly. It’s a public play space, so let’s all share it. If someone is waiting for an area for a long time, we may give you a time warning.
If you want to use a particular area, allow time for people to finish their scene and clean up before moving in to set up.
Prepare your aftercare protocols ahead of time so you can move your partner and go back to clean the play area in a timely manner. Do not perform aftercare where you’ve played.
If you have completed your scene and intend to start another elsewhere, clear the space you were using first before setting up in a different area.
If you wish to use a piece of furniture again, please ask a DM to ensure no one else is waiting for that space.
6. Clean-up/Breakdown:
We have cleaning supplies, sheets, latex gloves, fire extinguishers and first aid kits for everyone to use.
If you do not have the supplies required for your scene, whether for sexual safety or to contain fluids, wax shavings, paint, or tape, save it for next time. This includes sharps containers and fire blankets.
If you are going to be naked on furniture or flooring, you must use a sheet (or your own blanket) as a barrier. If you are standing up, put a sheet beneath you. We have SubSpace blankets for sale! Ask a DM!
Clean sheets are in the chest (point out location). Put used sheets in the hamper sitting next to it.
Wipe down nonporous furniture with cleaning wipes (Spanking Bench, St. Andrews Cross, Rolling Cage, Cheese grater, and Massage Table) before leaving your space.
If you find someone else's toys or supplies in a play area or left out, alert a DM.
Change the sheets after using the bed! Putting a sheet down over the current sheet does not remove the need for changing the sheets.
If you brought a water bottle with you, take it home. All water bottles left after a party are thrown out.
7. Don't Out Someone:
If you see someone you met at a party outside of the venue, do not engage them unless you have prior consent to do so. This includes subtle gestures of greeting.
This also goes for if you see someone from work or school or your “vanilla” life at a party.
If someone prefers to use a scene name, please respect their request. Only use their non-scene name if you have negotiated that.
** No glitter in the parties**
